Bethlehem House Fire Displaces Family

On July 24, 2017, a fire broke out on a third floor of a Bethlehem house located on Elizabeth Avenue. At least one family has been displaced because of the Bethlehem fire. A second couple may also have to seek temporary housing. Bethlehem fire fighters did an excellent job keeping the fire from spreading to nearby houses. Bethlehem fire officials asked the American Red Cross for help arranging housing and food for all parties affected by this tragic house fire. Bicycle Accident Causes Personal Injuries on Route 115

On June 14, 2017, a woman bicyclist suffered serious personal injuries when she was struck by a car on Route 115 at Mountain Road between Wind Gap and Saylorsburg PA. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the 52-year-old bicyclist was taken to Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg PA. The bicyclist was wearing a helmet, but it is suspected that she is suffering from “major injuries.” Read more

Man Killed in Robin’s Diner Accident

Sadly, on July 7, 2017, Martin Moyer fell victim to a wrongful death accident in Robin’s Diner. Mr. Moyer was sitting in Robin’s Diner around 8:40 AM when a pair of tractor-trailer semi truck tires crashed through a window at the diner and struck Moyer. This premises liability accident lead to the unfortunate wrongful death of Mr. Moyer. Martin Moyer was transported to the Lehigh valley Hospital where the Lehigh County Coroner pronounced him dead at around 5:35 PM. At this time, Pennsylvania State Police do not have a news release regarding this incident. Read more

One Killed in Bethlehem Accident on Route 22

Sadly, on July 10, 2017, Michael Biondo was killed on Route 22 due to a fatal vehicle accident. Mr. Biondo, age 46, was traveling westbound on Rt. 22 near Schoenersville Road when his vehicle crashed and overturned. A passenger was trapped in the truck and fire crews had to pry the vehicle open to extricate the passenger, according to police. The driver was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem where he was sadly pronounced dead. There is no information available regarding the condition of the passenger. Pennsylvania Car Accidents, Truck Accidents & Motor Vehicle Accidents

This past Fourth of July weekend saw 259 personal injuries as a result of car accidents during the holiday driving period. Sadly, thirteen people suffered wrongful deaths as a result of motor vehicle accidents, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The number of car accident deaths and personal injuries were significantly higher than last years Fourth of July auto accidents. From Saturday through Tuesday July Fourth, 741 car accidents were reported throughout Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, many of these auto and semi truck accidents took place in the greater Lehigh Valley and in Allentown PA on Rt 22. Read more

Man Injured in Car Accident

On June 28, 2017, Michael Schoenagel suffered serious personal injuries in a local auto accident. A motor vehicle drifted into the opposite lane and crashed head-on into the automobile driven by Michael Schoenagel according to authorities. Schoenagel suffered numerous personal injuries, mostly to his legs. Schoenagel was flown to a nearby hospital for treatment. Moreover, Mr. Schoenagel is a Pennsylvania resident. Read more
