Three Pittsburgh Area Men Died in Athens Township Wrongful Death Car Accident Last Weekend

Triple fatal car accident in Pennsylvania last weekend: Three young men from Butler County lost their lives Saturday evening when their vehicle collided with a tree in Athens Township.

The Pittsburgh wrongful death car accident involving three Pittsburgh area young men occurred on Saturday, June 8 in the evening. According to Pennsylvania State Police at the Corry Barracks, the car was heading east on Centerville Road around 8:10 p.m. when it veered off the road and crashed into the tree. One passenger, seated in the rear, was thrown from the car, while the driver and front-seat passenger remained inside the vehicle.

The victims were identified as 21-year-old man from Chicora, the 19-year-old driver from Butler; and another passenger – 17-year-old man from Butler. All of them were pronounced dead at the scene. Two of them were cousins.

Police noted that none of the victims were wearing seat belts. The accident report did not specify whether speed played a role in the crash.

The investigation is still ongoing.
