The tractor trailer truck struck a van that rolled over and into the Route 33 highway median. Six passengers in the van were transported to Lehigh Valley hospitals for treatment of their personal injuries.

An Easton personal injury home fire caused the wrongful death of of two people on January 4, 2019. The Easton house fire took place on the 2900 block of Stephens Street around 3:30 a.m. in Palmer Township, Easton PA. The Northampton County Coroner arrived to the scene of the Easton personal injury fire around 6:30 a.m. At that time he pronounced the Easton wrongful death of the resident and one additional individual. The house fire was two blocks from west of Route 248 near the Palmer Park Mall. Firefighters have not yet commented on what started the home fire.
