1 Million Ram Pickup Trucks Recalled Due to Airbag Issue

Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 1 million pickup trucks due to a software problem that could prevent airbags from deploying in the event of a rollover truck accident. This defective product issue has lead to at least one wrongful death and several other serious personal injuries.

The recall includes Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks built between 2013-2016. The company will reprogram the problematic software in any affected trucks, free of charge. The recall will begin in June of 2017. Hopefully this will help prevent any future wrongful death truck accidents.

Our products liability attorneys recommend that anyone with a Ram truck have it inspected by a dealer to insure the airbags are working properly. The injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident can be critically reduced when one’s airbags are working properly. This products liability issue could have grave consequences if not handled properly. If you have any questions concerning products liability, please call our injury lawyers anytime for a free consultation. We’d like to help.
