An Allentown tractor-trailer accident caused the personal injuries of two truckers on Route 222 on January 24, 2018. A dump truck diving east on Route 222, west of Allentown, hit a tractor-trailer truck around 1:00 p.m. The Allentown truck accident took place near the red light at Mill Creek Road. The wrongful death accident was reported around 3:00 a.m. when a tractor-trailer semi truck crashed into a Pontiac G6 car that was disabled from a car accident, which had taken minutes earlier. Interstate 476 northbound was closed down until 6:30 a.m. while Pennsylvania State Police conducted their semi truck accident investigation.
