A tractor-trailer accident on Interstate 476, north of the Lehigh Valley exit, killed one passenger on December 7, 2017. The wrongful death accident was reported around 3:00 a.m. when a tractor-trailer semi truck crashed into a Pontiac G6 car that was disabled from a car accident, which had taken minutes earlier. Interstate 476 northbound was closed down until 6:30 a.m. while Pennsylvania State Police conducted their semi truck accident investigation.

Interstate 78 Truck Accident Causes Wrongful Death

Sadly, an I-78 tractor-trailer accident left at least one dead around 6:00 a.m. on December 5, 2017. Interstate 78 was closed for about an hour by a four-vehicle wrongful death accident. Sadly, an Allentown tractor-trailer accident killed one man on I-78 on October 4, 2017. Two semi truck tractor-trailers collided with one another on Interstate 78 near Allentown PA. The driver of one of the semi trucks was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Sadly, the Lehigh County Coroner pronounced his death the next day. I-78 Semi Truck Accident Kills Man

Sadly, a truck accident on Interstate-78 killed a 25-year-old man. The truck accident took place on I-78 traveling eastbound outside of Allentown PA on September 20, 2017. The deceased hit a disabled tractor-trailer semi truck according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s office. The victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, where he died of cervical spine personal injuries. Two people were trapped in the motor vehicle and were freed by the fire rescue crew. Interstate 78’s eastbound lanes were shut down until approximately 11:00 p.m. Pennsylvania State Police are continuing their investigation of this I-78 accident.

Tractor Trailer Semi Truck Crashes into Bus on I-78 in Easton PA

26 passengers were sent to the hospital on August 20, 2017 when a tractor-trailer auto accident took place on Interstate 78 in Easton PA. The tractor-trailer semi truck caused a bus accident around 3:30 a.m. in Northampton County, PA. According to Pennsylvania State Police, both motor vehicles were traveling eastbound. A spokesperson for St. Luke’s University Hospital said three passengers remain in the Bethlehem hospital with serious personal injuries but thankfully; none of them are in critical condition. Additionally, ten passengers were taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown for minor personal injuries. The Easton bus accident scene on I-78 was cleared around 5:10 a.m.

One Killed in Bethlehem Accident on Route 22

Sadly, on July 10, 2017, Michael Biondo was killed on Route 22 due to a fatal vehicle accident. Mr. Biondo, age 46, was traveling westbound on Rt. 22 near Schoenersville Road when his vehicle crashed and overturned. A passenger was trapped in the truck and fire crews had to pry the vehicle open to extricate the passenger, according to police. The driver was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem where he was sadly pronounced dead. There is no information available regarding the condition of the passenger.

This past Fourth of July weekend saw 259 personal injuries as a result of car accidents during the holiday driving period. Sadly, thirteen people suffered wrongful deaths as a result of motor vehicle accidents, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The number of car accident deaths and personal injuries were significantly higher than last years Fourth of July auto accidents. From Saturday through Tuesday July Fourth, 741 car accidents were reported throughout Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, many of these auto and semi truck accidents took place in the greater Lehigh Valley and in Allentown PA on Rt 22.
