Cornell Student Killed in Car Accident on I-80

On April 3, 2017, Cornell student, Peiran Shi was killed in a wrongful death car accident on Interstate 80 near the Pennsylvania, New Jersey border. Sadly, Shi was a 20 year-old student originally from China who planned to major in physics. Peiran Shi was a rear passenger; who was ejected around 9:30 p.m. at mile 6.2 according to the Lehigh County Coroner. Shi was transported to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. State police are continuing to investigate this tragic car accident.
