EASTON: Driver Survives Fiery Car Accident

On February 4, 2017, a driver escaped severe personal injury when she crashed on Route 33 near Easton. The driver, a 31-year-old from Wind Gap, lost control of her Ford automobile while in the southbound lane of Route 33 in Palmer Township, Easton. According to Pennsylvania State Police, her car stuck the guardrail and caught fire. The driver escaped and refused medical treatment for a slight injury she suffered as a result of the auto accident. Route 33 was shut down for nearly two hours to clear debris. Northampton County Emergency Management Services responded to a gasoline spill, said the Palmer Township Assistant Fire Chief.
