Lehigh Tunnel Accident Kills Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver on I-476
A Semi truck driver suffered his wrongful death in the Lehigh Tunnel when an electrical pole crashed through his windshield on February 21, 2018. The Lehigh Valley truck accident killed the 70-year-old truck driver on Interstate 476 around 6:00 p.m. The Lehigh County coroner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The tractor-trailer truck was driving southbound on the Northeast Extension in Lehigh County. The southbound highway lanes of the Lehigh Tunnel were closed for several hours due to this horrible Lehigh Valley tractor-trailer accident. Pennsylvania State Police are conducting an ongoing investigation.
