LEHIGH VALLEY: Man Severely Injured in Car Accident

Brian Grimshaw crashed his car on Ridge Road in the Lehigh Valley on January 29, 2017. 62-year-old Grimshaw was in intensive care at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem after suffering severe injuries from a single car accident. The driver lost control of his vehicle on the 500 block of Ridge Road when he hit a Met-Ed utility pole according to Pennsylvania State Police. The passenger was not injured. Suburban EMS transported Grimshaw to the Bethlehem hospital after the accident.

PHILADELPHIA: Police Officer Kills 50-Year-Old Man in Pedestrian Accident

Sadly, a man suffered from a wrongful death car accident on January 31, 2017, when a police officer stuck him near the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Algon Ave. in Philadelphia. This pedestrian accident took place around 11:30 a.m. The 50-year-old, who has not been identified, was transported to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus where he was pronounced dead. The automobile that struck the 50-year-old man suffered severe damage to its front bumper, hood and windshield. The accident remains under investigation.

PHILADELPHIA: Two Suffer Wrongful Deaths

A tragic accident killed Kimberly Phillips and Loraya Braxton on January 28, 2017 while crossing Roosevelt Blvd. in Northeast Philadelphia. The two women were sisters, ages 10 and 19. Police state that Phillips and Braxton were in the crosswalk when the driver of a Jeep Wrangler struck them. Police said that Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene. EASTON: Woman Struck by Stolen U-Haul on January 26, 2017

According to a Forks Township police report, an intoxicated 29-year-old Easton woman will face charges after causing a car accident that injured Marie Munirr Janneh of Forks Township. The intoxicated woman allegedly stole a U-Haul and crashed into Janneh’s vehicle at Uhler Road and Bushkill Drive in Easton PA. Janneh suffered personal injuries and was transported by Suburban EMS to Easton Hospital. The U-Haul van was stolen from Palmer Township in Easton.

EASTON: Tractor-Trailer Catches Fire along Interstate 78 on January 26, 2017

A tractor-trailer caught fire on Interstate 78 near Easton, PA during the Thursday morning commute on January 26, 2017. A Northampton County emergency dispatch supervisor confirmed that there were no personal injuries reported. Heavy smoke poured from the tractor trailer truck and traffic was closed. Police set up cones and shut down the exit ramp and traffic was flowing by 9:17 a.m. The ramp was opened by 9:22 a.m.

Allentown Driver Injured in Car Accident on Route 22 on January 24, 2017

Samer Daher of Allentown was injured in a car crash on Route 22 East, just outside of Phillipsburg NJ. Daher, of the 1400 block of North 22nd Street in Allentown, suffered from several personal injuries. Thankfully, there were no other passengers in his vehicle. Daher was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment to his injuries. His vehicle sustained severe front-end damage, according to police.

PENNSYLVANIA: Roderick Kendricks Jr. Killed in Car Accident on January 22, 2017

Sadly, Roderick Kendricks Jr. died in a single car accident in Richmond Township between Allentown and Reading Pennsylvania. Kendricks, 30, lived in Fleetwood Pennsylvania. According to police, another driver noticed an SUV on its side in a field next to the road and called police on Sunday morning. It was unclear when the vehicle accident occurred. Unfortunately, Kendricks was not wearing his seat belt. The Berks County Coroner’s office pronounced Kendricks dead at the scene of the accident.
