PENNSYLVANIA: Tractor Trailer Crash Injures Driver on Turnpike
A tractor-trailer driver, Karanjit Loter, was trapped after a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension on January 11, 2017. Loter was transported by med-evac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown. The tractor-trailer truck was destroyed after it skidded off the highway. Police believe the tractor-trailer driver was seriously injured. At this time, no other personal injuries have been reported. The crash occurred when Loter was driving his tractor trailer in the right lane and lost control of the vehicle on a curve in the roadway, causing the tractor-trailer truck to crash into the guardrail in the right lane.
“Unfortunately, there are no words that can comfort the family members affected by this sad accident.” Said Attorney Matthew Trapani of the Trapani Law Firm. Our injury lawyers have dealt with far too many tractor-trailer accidents and we will continue to fight for stricter tractor-trailer trucking legislation in the future, in order to keep our local highways, in Allentown and the Greater Lehigh Valley, safe.
