PHILADELPHIA: Two Suffer Wrongful Deaths
A tragic accident killed Kimberly Phillips and Loraya Braxton on January 28, 2017 while crossing Roosevelt Blvd. in Northeast Philadelphia. The two women were sisters, ages 10 and 19. Police state that Phillips and Braxton were in the crosswalk when the driver of a Jeep Wrangler struck them. Police said that Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene. Her sister was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, but unfortunately, she passed away soon after. The driver of the Jeep Wrangler has been charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence. We’ve experienced far too many pedestrians stuck in car accidents over the past few months, in both Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley.
