Train Accident Causes Wrongful Death in Allentown
An Allentown train accident caused the wrongful death of a 35-year-old Macungie man on May 4, 2018. The Lehigh County coroner was called to the train accident scene after a pedestrian was struck by a Norfolk Southern train around 2:30 p.m. The mixed freight train was traveling from Allentown PA to Alabama. The train accident took place near the 1100 block of Chestnut Street. The Lehigh County coroner has scheduled an autopsy for Monday morning. Additionally, Pennsylvania State Police and the Emmaus Police Department are investigating the Allentown wrongful death train accident.
