A lawsuit filed on behalf of the family of a 10 year-old foster child who died as a result of an untreated medical condition while under the supervision of Turning Points for Children resulted in a $5 million settlement. Turning Points for Children, who is responsible for providing case management, was alleged to have failed to adequately inform the foster parents of the boys medical history.
